New Director-General at the Percé Geopark
Percé, 6 April 2018 - The Percé Geopark is proud to announce the hiring of a new General Manager, who has been appointed to the April 3. Mr. Renaud Camirand takes the reins of the cooperative.
Renaud Camirand worked at the Regroupement des pêcheurs professionnels of the south of Gaspésie for about 6 years. He has also been a sales and customer service advisor at Pit Caribou Microbrewery. He has also served as a municipal advisor to the 2014 City of Percé at 2017, and has served on numerous boards.
"I am very happy to have been selected for the post at the general directorate of the Géoparc de Percé. I am pleased to be able to participate in the promotion and development of the tourist capital of Gaspésie. I arrive at the dawn of a season that looks very busy and I am happy to be able to count on the members of the team who already have a strong experience following the 2017 season. I look forward to the return of the entire team and by then we will be actively working on the preparations for the Geopark for the 2018 summer season. "
For the Geopark's Board of Directors, this is an important new asset for the whole team: "We are very proud of the Geopark for the success of the 1 phase of our project, which has quickly become a major attraction in the region. The arrival of Mr. Camirand on the management team will ensure consistent and effective development of the 2 phase, to come in the coming years, "said Danielle Thivierge, President of the Geopark of Percé.
