Hiker's Guide
To respect the natural environment
- Stay on the hiking trails designed to avoid the trampling of vegetation
- Do not feed wildlife
- Do not collect rock or other natural elements
- Forbidden to make fires
- Smoke only in the areas provided for this purpose (see map)
- Keep pets on a leash
- Dispose of your waste responsibly
- Mountain bikes are prohibited on the trails.
In order to be good hikers, visitors to the UNESCO Global Geopark in Percé are invited to respect these instructions. Be careful and good discoveries on our territory!
For your safety
• Find out about the length, duration and difficulty level of the chosen hike
• Check local weather forecasts
• Do not leave alone
• Inform someone of your itinerary and the time you plan to return
• Wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the climate and terrain
• Plan your time so you can walk with clarity
• Do not venture outside the developed areas
• Wear bright colors during hunting season (fall)
• Be careful if you use dirt roads to Mount St. Anne, the Grotto and Mont Blanc, as they are also used by motorized vehicles
