Percé geopark and coronavirus disease

UNESCO Global Geopark of Percé and coronavirus disease (COVID-19)

Percé, March 23, 2019 - At Percé Geopark, the health and safety of visitors and team members is at the top of the priorities. To this end, in the wake of the actions taken by the authorities over the past few days, the Geopark quickly made the decision to close the common places, on March 14.

In light of recent developments in the COVID-19 crisis, the Geopark's board of directors follows the advice of public health experts to the letter and today is taking additional measures to support the efforts of our governments.

Starting at 18 p.m. today Monday, March 23, 2020, the Geopark will temporarily suspend all of its visitor services, including access to hiking trails, parking and the suspended glass platform.

We will reassess this temporary closure on an ongoing basis, and will keep you informed as more information becomes available.

The Geopark thanks the population, more particularly that of Percé and the surrounding area, for respecting this important new measure aimed at limiting the spread of the virus.
